Brooks Macdonald Asset Management (BMAM) are a specialist private client discretionary fund management group focused on supporting key independent advisers in meeting the investment objectives of their clients. Established in 1991, Brooks Macdonald Asset Management is a subsidiary of Brooks Macdonald Group plc which listed on AiM in March 2005.
Brooks Macdonald's core market is Private Portfolios, Trusts, Pensions and Charities. Portfolios are managed on a discretionary basis within two distinct offerings:
- Bespoke Portfolio Service (BPS) - portfolios tailored to individual client needs and objectives for clients with more than £200,000 to invest.
- Managed Portfolio Service (MPS) - model portfolios for clients with upwards of £20,000 to invest, offering a SIPP via IPS.
Brooks Macdonald send regular valuation data to IPS to keep their records up to date.

The process of opening an account with Brooks Macdonald is as follows:
- The Financial Adviser contacts Brooks Macdonald to obtain account opening forms (please specify this is for an IPS Pension arrangement).
- The Adviser completes the application terms and has these signed by the pension scheme member (client).
- Send forms to IPS with an Instruction for the amount to be Invested with Brooks Macdonald.
- IPS will countersign the forms and send these to Brooks Macdonald to open their account.
- Brooks Macdonald confirm to IPS that the account is open and IPS will transfer the funds as given in the instruction.
- Brooks Macdonald then commence management of the client's funds.
